Making Decisions about learning routes after Year 11 can be difficult especially when there are so many options to choose from including:
- New ways of learning such as practical skills based qualifications, apprenticeships and traineeships.
- Exploring a variety of learning environments such as colleges, studio schools, new technology colleges, local training providers and employment led training
- Choosing the right subject areas that fit in with you
Raising The Participation Age (RPA)
Recent changes in the law mean there are even more opportunities for you continue learning whether you decide move on to sixth form, college full-time, start and apprenticeship, traineeship, school leaver programme or combine work with part-time study. You must stay in 'education or training' until your 18th birthday if you were born on September 1997 or thereafter. Make an appointment to speak your Connexions Personal Adviser for more information.

Northolt High School Sixth Form
If your thinking of staying on at Sixth Form you will still need to apply by completing an application form. The new sixth form prospectus will be available at the school opening evening on Thursday 12th November 2015 between 6:00 pm -8:00 pm.

University Technical Colleges (UTCs) are local government schools which specialise in teaching young people in areas where these is a skills gap.
